The author's thoughtful inquiry into the research question should ultimately conclude with the creation of the author's own, unique perspective on the topic. As you create an outline, think critically about what you are trying to explain or communicate in your research paper and what structure allows you to do that in a clear, organized way. A research paper does NOT consist of the writer merely rewording or re-contextualizing the thoughts of other authors, but rather must include the writer's own thoughts and reflections on different perspectives. You might prefer a printed list of your resources or you might want to write down all you have learned that is relevant to your project on notecards or sticky notes and organize your research paper on a table or the floor. Once you have read your research paper for a final time and double checked that your paper does everything the assignment is asking for, it is time to submit. It will help you create a strong, clear, interesting research paper.

Did you communicate what you meant to get across? The body: In the body of your paper, ensure you develop the hypothesis. Your teacher will appreciate and respect your preparedness, and it will likely impact your grades positively. It is better to begin with the small but witty joke or a quote of the famous person.

Varying lengths of sentences? You might feel like you should have started writing sooner, but, rest assured: the work you have done up to this point is important.
